Plans for a new $500 million resort in Townsville appear scuppered after Queensland
property group Resort Corp collapsed with debts of $300 million. The company’s plan for
a resort near Airlie Beach also appears in jeopardy. The collapse does not include the $210 million Noosa Sanctuary Hotel.
