Forget Surfers Paradise or Bondi – Darwin is the place to catch the surf as a new AU$17m wave lagoon is now open. Producing 10 different wave pattern ratings, with heights of up to 1.6m, the pool is part of a redevelopment of Darwin’s vibrant waterfront and offers safe swimming for all the family. The wave lagoon is open daily from 10am – 6pm. Admission is AU$8 (£4) for adults and AU$5 (£2.50) for children. Boogie boards and water tubes are included in the admission price.
