Kea Campers: Solar panels on all campervans

Kea Campers operate a fleet of more than 400 campervans in the New Zealand market, part of a fleet of more than 1200 luxury campervans in New Zealand, Australia, South Africa, and Namibia. For the New Zealand market Kea Campers operate five different models in two, four or six berth layouts.

All Kea Campervans have solar panels for generating their own power to heat the hot water, run the lights, etc on board the campervans, allowing them to free-camp for up to four days. This is a strong selling point for peak periods when some of the camping grounds can become fully booked, or for people who like to get away from the mainstream and camp more in the open rather than having to go to a camp ground to plug in for power.
