Outback travellers can pack their own virtual guides

The Northern Territory’s outback roads have gone digital with the launch of Do It Yourself Tourguide.

The company has designed audio sightseeing tours available on CDs or MP3 downloads for self-drive travellers, with the first two tours covering iconic Northern Territory drives – the road from Alice Springs to Uluru; and the Red Centre Way, which travels from Alice Springs to Uluru via the West MacDonnell Ranges and Kings Canyon.

A sample of the audio from the DIY Tourguides is available on YouTube at www.youtube.com/diytourguide, or at www.diytourguide.com.au.
