From 16th to 20th September 2009, the world’s most beautiful classic yachts will be moored along the quays of Port Hercule, scene of the great 20th century innovations, to celebrate the 100 years of Tuiga, the flagship of the Yacht Club de Monaco.
For the occasion, the Yacht Club de Monaco in collaboration with its official timekeeper Hublot, and the participation of Moët Hennessy, Credit Suisse and Lancia, plans to turn back the clock and recreate the atmosphere on Quai Antoine 1er as it was 100 years ago in 1909.
This is an invitation to travel through time and discover the maritime history of the Principality between 1909 and 2009.
It will be one of the biggest events ever organised in the name of classic yachting. Participants are asked to wear traditional uniforms and there will be displays of classic cars and a number of surprises are planned!
The CAPTAIN will be at the helm of the SY'ARIES', a 115' Camper & Nicholsons with her keel laid in 1939. She is currently being restored for this event at the Cantiere di San Remo under The CAPTAIN's supervision.
