Shark Attack at Sea World!

It’s the end of another sweltering summer’s day and the sun is just beginning to set. The water looks so inviting and it seems like a good idea to cool off with a swim. But there is another world which lies beneath and it’s dinner time……

Bull Sharks in our waterways are a fact of life, yet year after year we hear of another shark attack, so why is that we have not learned to live in harmony with these predators of the deep?

Sea World will answer some of these questions when it opens its newest marine animal exhibit and the world’s only dedicated Bull Shark exhibit ‘Shark Attack – Bull Sharks in our Backyard’.

Shark Attack is an interactive educational exhibit which investigates Bull Shark attacks, why they happen and how we can prevent them.

“Sharks have always been a creature of mystery and fear and Shark Attack will explore the myths surrounding Sharks while educating people on how to avoid having interactions with these remarkable animals” said Sea World Director of Marine Sciences Trevor Long.

Sea World is also working closely with Griffith University Bull Shark researcher Jonathan Werry whose findings feature in the exhibit.
