Qantas changes to point expiry

Qantas is reminding customers that there are several changes to the Qantas Frequent Flyer Program that will take effect on 01JUL10. These were announced in DEC09 by Qantas Frequent Flyer and communicated to Members via mail and email.

• From 01JUL10, Qantas Frequent Flyer points will expire if a Member does not earn or redeem points at least once every 18 months.
• Currently, Frequent Flyer points expire after 36 months of no eligible activity.
• Any points a Member has in their account as at 30JUN10 will not expire any earlier as a result of this change.
• From 01JUL10, Family transfers will no longer be considered as eligible account activity
• For Members who earn or use their points through their Qantas Frequent Flyer account at least once every 18 months, their points will not expire.
