Air New Zealand launches new oven technology

Air New Zealand's new Boeing 777s, which will debut on long-haul routes from the end of this year, will feature new oven technology.

This new service will allow food to be cooked from scratch rather than simply being reheated.

"This will be an industry first to have these ovens in all cabins," the airline's manager of long-haul customer product and service, Matthew Cooper, told the Sun-Herald newspaper in Melbourne.

The new aircraft will offer a digital, in-seat meal ordering service across all of its cabin classes.
